Pottery Care

Each piece from Thrown Pottery Studio  is handcrafted  with care using a variety of high quality  clay. Our Pottery is made to be both functional and durable, designed for everyday  use while maintaining its  unique, handmade character. To help pieces last for years to come, here are a few simple care tips:

Microwave  & Mug use

Most mugs and everyday pieces are Microwave safe. Handmade pottery conducts heat differently than factory ware, so:

• Avoid sudden temperature  changes (for example pouring boiling water into a cold mug).

•Use short heating intervals when reheating.

•Check  handle before picking  them up, they can become  warm.

Dishwasher

Your pottery is dishwasher safe. It's  fired to high temperatures  for strength  and durability.  For extra care, you can hand wash, but regular dishwasher use will not harm your piece.

Oven use (Stoneware Clay)

Stoneware clay is oven safe with gradual heating:

•Always  place your pottery  in a cool oven and allow it to warm as the oven preheats.

•Never move pottery directly  from the refrigerator  or freezer  into a hot oven.

•Avoid direct flame or stove top use.

General Care

•Natural  variations in color, texture, and shape are part of the handmade process,  making each piece unique.

• Your pottery is designed  for everyday use. It's  made to be loved, not left on a shelf.
